Hi, I’m Ellie Nicole, the face behind MVP! If you’re new here, a returning client, or new to hiring a makeup artist or photographer in general this is a great pace to start! 

What does MVP stand for?

Makeup. Videography. Photography.

I still think I’m pretty clever coming up with that if I do say so myself! I offer all three of those services separately or in any combination you could want! 

What is the process?

  1. Initial contact – Whether you DM me, reach out through my website, or Google photographer near me let’s chat! I love getting to know my clients and the needs you have for your project. This is where we get on the same page, communicate your needs and wants, and where I can answer any questions you may have before booking.
  2. Proposal – After our discussion, I will email you a proposal where you can see how much your project will be. This is when contracts are signed and payments are made.
  3. Booked – Pay in full or place a 50% down payment to lock in your date and price.
  4. Planning – In this stage, we will finalize locations, timing, wardrobe, and anything in between so that the shoot is perfect!
  5. Day Of – This is the fun part! Let’s have a blast and create something amazing! Don’t worry too much and just have fun, this will show on camera and lead to some amazing photos and videos you are sure to love.
  6. Delivery – A couple of weeks later you will be sent a digital gallery of photos and/or videos to download and enjoy!

What’s the turnaround for photos and video?

This depends on the package you decide on, but here is a good estimate of what to expect.

One-hour photoshoot = Two-week turnaround

Wedding Day photography = One-month turnaround

1-3 Minute Video = 2-3 week turnaround

5-7 Minute Video = 3-5 week turnaround

How many photos will I get?

Again this depends on how long of a shoot you decide to book, but you should expect to get at least 35 fully edited photos, if not more!

Should I get my hair and makeup done for a photoshoot?

I always suggest at least getting your makeup done for a photoshoot. Just like you would dress differently to go to the gym or a fancy dinner, getting your makeup and/or hair done gets you in the right mindset to be in front of the camera and can often give you that extra boost of confidence that shows! Plus, it looks fantastic on camera. Often makeup that you feel is more extreme than you normally wear looks just perfect and natural on camera (yes, I’m talking about fake lashes)!

What is included in a makeup session?

A makeup session includes a full face of makeup in any style you want. This could be anything from a natural look to full glam or Halloween. This includes everything from the base to your lashes. You won’t have to lift a finger or use any of your products. 

I also use airbrush foundation which typically lasts longer and looks much more natural. This gets rid of the heavy cakey makeup feeling that I am sure you don’t want.

How long does it take to get my makeup and hair done?

Plan for each to take an hour to do. That is typically plenty of time. And if we have done a trial run before it will go even faster!

Do you travel?

I DO! And I love it! In most cases travel within Utah and Salt Lake Counties is included in my pricing. Travel outside of those counties will include a travel fee.

For travel outside of Utah, compensation regarding housing, food, time, and travel will be discussed. 

I love to travel and if there are times I am in other states or countries and have free time to take clients, fees to shoot in that location will be waived.

What is a styled shoot?

My absolute favorite thing to do, that’s what!!! If you are looking for something beyond a typical shoot, something that will make your brand stand out from the rest, this is for you!

We will sit down and brainstorm creative ideas that get you excited. This shoot can tell a story, create a brand for your clients, or be the best treat-yourself photoshoot out there!

More than just a shoot, I create a unique experience just for YOU! Designing an original theme for each look, helping you coordinate your outfits and makeup, and bringing your creative ideas to life. You don’t have to worry about a thing! Ideas. Props. Locations. Makeup. Even Snacks. I’ve got you covered!

Why should I upgrade to a combination package?

Now this is for those who want to one-stop shop, and considering how popular Amazon is, I’m going to assume that’s most of us! Need a makeup artist, photographer, and videographer for your wedding? Why search for three separate people when you can book them all at once? Need new photos and videos for your company website and social media? Why search for multiple people when you can hire one? 

“But you’re just one person Ellie! You can’t do it all!” I beg to differ! In the times when photo and video must be taken at the same time, such as an event or wedding I bring in my trusted associates to shoot at my side. These are people I trust and have similar shooting styles to my own. This makes it so once again I can do all the work for you. No need to hunt down multiple people for your shoot when you can trust me to take care of it all for you!
